What happens to my money if I can't make it to my trip to Iceland and I need to cancel my rental?

Your cancellation policy depends on the payment terms that you booked with.
Pay on arrival
When you choose the "Pay on arrival" payment plan, we do not take any form of pre-payment or deposit for your rental. The entire rental amount is paid upon pick-up of your rental car.
If, for any reason, you are unable to make your rental, you can cancel at any time without incurring a cancellation fee.
We appreciate you letting us know as soon as possible that you will not be able to make your planned rental.
Pre-payment of full amount
When you choose to fully pre-pay for your rental at the time of booking, you can cancel your booking with a full refund up until the day of pick-up.
The day of pick-up is counted as "after midnight on the calendar date of the pick-up". This is counted by Icelandic time.
If you cancel your rental on the day of pick-up or fail to show up to your pick-up, your pre-paid amount cannot be refunded.
Extenuating circumstances
Some things are simply out of our control, and no matter how much you may have wanted your rental or trip to Iceland, things out of your control could mean you weren't able to make it.
If this happens on the day of pick-up, making your pre-payment non-refundable, you can still reach out to us, and we can see what we can do for you.
